Adding the Finishing Touches to the Kite Door hanger

Let's Put the Finishing Touches on our Kite

Have you been following along with us the last few weeks as we:

-learned to use a digital template

-learned what supplies we needed to make door wooden door hangers

-learned how to use a jigsaw and sander to cut out a door hanger

-painted our door hanger????

Well let's make it POP!!!

This week we added lettering using a transfer and added some fun ribbon to really bring our door hanger to life!!  If you missed it, you can check it out below.  I have posted the video so you can catch up.

If you have been watching, but have been too scared to jump in, let me encourage you to JUST DO IT!!! The kite template and several other are located here and all you need is a printer, some tape and scissors to make your template!

Then you are ready to trace and cut your custom door hanger.

What supplies do I need to follow along with the video?

You will need:

  • scissors
  • ribbon (any ribbon you want!)
  • heavy duty stapler and 1/4 inch staples
  • paint pens
  • carbon paper
  • THIS printable lettering transfer

In the video below I show you how to add the finishing touches to your kite to really make it pop!

Also, if you need supplies (like the stapler or paint pens), I have all of my favorites in my Amazon shop. You can find my favorite products here.
